He was predeceased by : his parents, Cora Daugherty Owen and William Earl Owen of Pontotoc, MS.; his wife Doris; and his brother Oliver "Bud" Owen (Mary Alice). He is survived by : his daughter Linda; his son-in-law Mike; his grandsons, David Humke (Lisa) and Brian Humke (Desirae); his great grandchildren, Coty Brower and Owen Humke; and his nieces, Julie Schafer (Steve), Pam Cornelius, Pat Bradshaw, Charla Greene and Anna Bradshaw. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home (601 US-80, Haughton, LA 71037). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at the Hill Crest Cemetery.
