We announce the death of Willie T. Winter of Pontotoc, Mississippi, who passed away on October 7, 2026, at the age of 88. Willie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Jeanette Lepard Winter; his parents, Willie Winter and Olene Lofton Winter; and his siblings, Evelyn Stafford and Paul Winter.
He is survived by: his children, Judy Barkley (Charley) and Marty Winter (Kris); his sister Cynthia Winter; his grandchildren, Krista McCreight (Brent), Steven Huffstatler (Marlana), Ryan Winter (Kara Beth) and Reid Winter (Destiny); his great grandchildren, Walker, Maci, Becca Huffstatler, Poppy Rae, Penelope and Tessa Winter; and his brother-in-law Tommy Stanford.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Baldwin Funeral Home (96 S Main St, Pontotoc, MS 38863). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Pontotoc City Cemetery N Main.
