She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Earl "Red" Dodson; her daughter Mary Jean Underwood; her parents, Powell Swanson and Mary Magdalene Swanson; and her brothers, Winston Ray Swanson and Eugene Swanson.
She is survived by: her children, Marquita Lyons and Jack Underwood; her grandchildren, Jennifer Lyons, Jamie Underwood, Tony Underwood, Jessica Crane and Samantha Underwood Barton; and her siblings, Maxine Canerdy, Powelette Swanson and Ladell Swanson. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
