He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Smith; his children, Kenneth and Janice Vaughan; his parents, Toxie Smith and Lenora Smith; and his siblings, Mitchell Smith, Tilous Smith and Joane Austin.
He is survived by: his grandson Gabrel Vaughan; his son-in-law Rick Vaughan; and his siblings, Dealous Smith and Sylvia Nelson. He is also survived by brother and sister in laws and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends.
