He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Joseph Gomez and Vera Seal Gomez; his daughter Amanda Renee Payne; and his siblings, Evelyn McCloud, Pat Beech and Michael Gomez.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Fleming Gomez; his pets, Roxie, Romeo and Lady; his son Joseph Paul Gomez (Sheila Vaughner) of Centerpoint; and his sisters, Ruth Stockstill, Judy Pino and Sandi Hoyt (Ronald). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
