It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Andrew Penton (Poplarville, Mississippi), born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who passed away on October 19, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, John Aubrey and AthaLea Hodge Penton; his mother-in-law Shirley Hockenberry; his grandparents, Will, Tena Hodge, Arthur and Edna Penton; his granddaughter Alicekate; and his nephew Nicholas Short.
He is survived by : his wife Nancy Penton (Hockenberry); his children, Misty Mitchell, Johnny Penton (Allison) and Kristy Penton; his stepchildren, Jennifer Wehmeier (Rob Reiner), Ashley Allegretto and Joshua Schwab (Kelly); his grandchildren, Jade Mitchell, Kyler Mitchell, Ethan Mitchell, Aubry Penton, Isabelle Penton, Reese Mallett, Emma Heck, Lucas Penton, Camri Foster, Kaden Schwab, Carson Redmond, Jaxton Schwab, Carter Shirey, Kingsley Allegretto and Calista Allegretto; his great grandchildren, Braxtyn Speights, Lakyn Speights and Ila Kate Mitchell; his sisters, Kathi Penton Davis (Bruce) and Cindy Penton; his father-in-law Malcolm Hockenberry; and his siblings-in-law, Lorna and David Spearly. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
