He was predeceased by : his parents, Sidney Kemp and Bevie Kemp; his siblings, Alvin, Lamar Kemp, Louise Crain and Carolyn Knight; and his daughter-in-law Kimberly Kemp.

He is survived by : his nephews, Randall Kemp, Bruce Kemp and Berry Knight; his wife Betty Kemp; his children, Pamela Bounds (LD), David Kemp (Gwen) and Danny Kemp (Connie); his grandchildren, Torie Brown (Leslie), DJ Kemp (Christina), Sara Bayhi (Spencer), Alex Kemp and Ethan Bounds; and his great grandchildren, Kaleb Brown, William Kemp, Ivy Kemp and Daniel Bayhi. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
