She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Jim Lawson Smith; her parents, Jesse Clyde and Dora Alice Puckett Edwards; and her brother Lowry C. Edwards. She is survived by: her sons, Lawson Smith and David Smith; her nieces, Paige Edwards Roye (Kenny) and Natalie Edwards Stewart (Deric); her sister-in-law Lynda Edwards Goodin; and her aunt Joanna Boren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bay Springs Baptist Church (3769 Grace-Bay Springs Rd, De Kalb, MS 39328). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at the Bay Springs Baptist Church Cemetery (3769 Grace-Bay Springs Rd, De Kalb, MS 39328).
