She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Archie and Lillian Alease Minter Hudson; her husband George C. Thurman, Jr.; her daughter Gina Tyrone; her stepsons, George Clyde Thurman, III and Christopher Lyle Thurman; her great grandchild Jeremiah Kitchens; and her brother Daniel Laverne Hudson.
She is survived by: her children, Keith Thurman, Rommie Boyd, Alisha Burgess, Jamie Hux Moore and Jackie Miller (Mark); and her stepchildren, Elisa Acey and Darryl Thurman (Sophia). She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
