She was predeceased by: her parents, L. S. Sands and Ruby Nell Newsome Sands. She is survived by: her sons, Aaron Funches of Prentiss, MS and Avery Sands of Suwanee, GA; and her sister Patricia Poole of Prentiss, MS.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, August 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ruby K. Johnson Chapel, Prentiss, Mississippi (1545 3rd St, Prentiss, MS 39474).
