He was predeceased by: his mother Sarah Myers. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Myers of Prentiss, MS; his children, Johnny E. Myers, Jr. (Demond Ward) of Prentiss, MS and Alison Myers of Gulfport, MS; and his sister Shirley J. Rhodes of Prentiss, MS. He is also survived by grandchildren: 14; great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (1112 Fred St, Prentiss, MS 39474). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Springhill Baptist Church (126 Spring Hill Rd, Silver Creek, MS 39663).
