He was predeceased by: his parents, Viola Donaldson and James M. Donaldson; and his siblings, Judy Weible, Rita Davis and John David Donaldson.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine; his brother Terry Joe Donaldson; his children, Stephen Donaldson, James M. Donaldson III, Jamie Jordan and Marianthe Bellows; and his stepchildren, Jeff Hawkins, Timothy Hawkins, Alvin Hawkins and Gail Hamilton.
