He is survived by: his former wife Ruth Slade-Sargent of Purvis, MS; his mother Montez Burge Hartfield of Purvis, MS; his daughter Ashley Hartfield Parnell (Charlie) of Lucedale, MS; and his siblings, Jan Smith (Howard) of Purvis, MS, Lananne Buckley and Eddie Hartfield (Denise) of Purvis, MS. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
