He was predeceased by : his parents, Alvin C. Newsome and Mary Joyce Newsome (Hibley); and his brothers, Thomas Dale Newsome and James Newsome. He is survived by : his wife Theresa Newsome (Oliver); his children, Kimberly Beach (Dempsey), Elton Newsome Jr. (Stacey), Alton Newsome (Sosha), Sybil Newsome, Mindy Bennett (Ben) and Alexandria Ballard (David); his siblings, Danny Ray Newsome (Brenda) and Elizabeth Tassin (Joseph); and his friends, Ray Bennett and Ronnie Fuller. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
