Roy James Hartfield Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roy James Hartfield Sr. (Purvis, Mississippi), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 29, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Hartfield and Louise Sims Hartfield; his wife Bernice Stuart Hartfield; and his sister Bonnie Colby. He is survived by: his children, Vialla Hartfield-Méndez (Hugo) of Decatur, GA, Roy J. Hartfield, Jr. (Ginger) of Auburn, AL and Stuart W. Hartfield (Nancy) of Harvest, AL; and his sisters, Sharon McArthur of Purvis, MS, Myram Davis (Raz) of Hattiesburg, MS and Elaine Sumrall (JT) of Purvis, MS. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
