He was predeceased by : his wife Sue Carter; his son Tommy Carter; his parents, Otis Carter and Pauline Carter; and his siblings, Effie Breland and Byron Carter.
He is survived by : his children, Jim Carter (Sheri) of Sumrall, MS and Cindy Hoerner (Rick) of Purvis, MS; his brother LaRue Carter of Moselle, MS; his grandsons, Logan Carter (Heather) of Sumrall, MS and Wesley Carter (Sydney) of Columbiana, AL; and his great grandchildren, Chase, Cameron and Thompson Carter. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
