He is survived by: his wife Sandra Welch Smith; his children, Justin Woods (Jennifer) and Kristy Dickerson (Keith); his parents, Arval Smith, Sr. and Toye Evans Smith; his siblings, Michael Smith and Gina Hudson (Jimmy); and his grandchildren, Cameron Carney, Gavin Ivy, Vance Woods, Aubrey Ivy and Casey Dickerson.
