He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Jo Dabbs (Kelly) and Gilford Fortner Dabbs, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Dabbs; his daughters, Amy Armstrong (Lamar), Christy Johnson (Greg) and Renee Matthews (Andrew); and his brother Kelly Dabbs (Debbye). He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
