He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Hopkins and Estelle Beasley Hopkins; his former life partner Jewel S. Hopkins; his daughters, Judy C. Hutcherson and Paula D. Hopkins; and his siblings, Wilmer Hopkins, Billy Hopkins, Ann Pittman and Betty Jean Dearmon.
He is survived by : his wife Nelda Hopkins of Quitman, MS; his son Jamie Hopkins of Buckatunna, MS; his stepson Jonathan Prince of Quitman, MS; and his brother Jim Hopkins (Zelema) of Buckatunna, MS. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
