It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Mickey Lewis of Quitman, Mississippi, who passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sallie Lewis (Robinson) and Floyd Melvin Lewis; his former wife Nayoka Buzek Givens; Sallie Mae Lewis. He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Downing (Mike Johnston) and Tammy Knight (Rodney); his grandchildren, Brandon Downing, Kasey Herrington, Justin Knight and Ashley Downing; his great grandchildren, Layken Herrington, Landen Herrington, Leilah Herrington, Jackson Knighjt, Presley Knight and Kaison Kamp; and his brother Rick Lewis.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery (620 MS-511, Quitman, MS 39355).
Memorials are suggested to be donated to St. Jude or the charity of your choice.
