She was predeceased by : her father W. J. Whitehead, Sr.; her son Carlton Ray Johnson; and her brother Wilton Jerry Whitehead, Jr.. She is survived by : her mother Opal Whitehead (Ricks); her children, April Walker (Jamie) and Shawn Whitehead; her sisters, Marcelle Jackson (Hal), Wanda Fletcher (Mike), Tracy Whitehead, Paula Taylor (Richard) and Gracie Farrell; and her grandchildren, Jonathan Jones, Christopher Whitehead and Kaley Jones.
