He is survived by: his wife Susan Dianne Miller McDonald; his children, Samuel "Sam" David McDonald, Jr. (Meghan), Christy Lenahan (Lee) and Darla Celeste McDonald (Alex); his grandchildren, Max Dean, Leo Dean, Penelope Elwood and Evangeline Lenahan; his brothers, Tommy McDonald, Mark McDonald (Marla), Don McDonald (Shem) and Roger McDonald; and his father-in-law Herbert G. Miller. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
