She was predeceased by : her father Winton Dale Thornton; and her sisters, Goldie Davis and Jackie Putnam. She is survived by : her children, Chris Thornton (Delana) and Sarah Rene Thornton Sumerall (Scott) of Raleigh; her mother Lennie Sue Thornton of Meridian; her siblings, Walter Mac Thornton of Raleigh, Tammy McKay (Kevin) of Meridian and Emily Gonzalez (Jose) of Jackson; and her grandchildren, Justin Thornton, Blake Sumerall, McKenna Thornton and Shelby Sumerall. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
