He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Bowen and Eunice Bowen; and his siblings, Mattie Crisler, Mary Alice Nanney and Eddie Bowen.

He is survived by: his wife Miriam Edmond Bowen; his son Kyle Bowen; his siblings, Carlie, David, Tim Bowen, Ruth Hayes and Abby Crosby; and his mother-in-law Mary Headrick Edmond. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
