It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doris Shelton Downing of Raymond, Mississippi, who passed away on July 24, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hazel Shelton and Marvin Shelton. She is survived by: her husband Will Downing; her brother Curtis; her sister-in-law Sandra Shelton; her sibling's children, Kirk Kimmons (Keelie Kimmons), Kendra Kimmons (Jeff English), Kyle Kimmons (Beverly Kimmons) and Charles Downing (Lori Downing); her grandchildren, Geoffery Watson and Brenna Kimmons; and her children, Shelton, Grace, Emie Kimmons, Campbell, Hayden English, Hazel and Nathan Downing.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Raymond Methodist Church (230 W Main St, Raymond, MS 39154).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Raymond Methodist Church.
