He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Joseph Hanks and Stella Louise Harrington. He is survived by: his wife Tara Leigh Whitmire Hanks; his stepson Casey Whitmire; his children, James Hanks (Tracy) and Nikki Hanks Adams (David) of Moss Bluff; and his grandsons, Devan Hanks and Tim Hanks.
