It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Sue Freeman of Richton, Mississippi, who passed away on January 2, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband William "Smidge" Freeman; her parents, Tillous Broome and Lorene Broome; her grandson Kaleb Upshaw; and her siblings, Gene Broome, Frances Broome, Edith Maxie, Beatrice Ladner, Lokey Stevison and Betty Landrum.
She is survived by : her children, Monica Lea (James) of Mt. Olive, Tracy Freeman (Nancy) of Richton and Shane Freeman (Vanessa) of Pensacola, FL; her grandchildren, Tommy Freeman (Morgan) of Petal, Sab Freeman (Stephanie) of Pensacola, FL, Shelby Cameron (Chance) of Richton, Karlie Upshaw of Hattiesburg, Eddie Kersey of Pensacola, FL and Ally Kersey of Pensacola, FL; and her siblings, Billy Broome (Gertrude) of Richton, Bobby Broome (Marlene) of Grand Bay, AL, V. R. Broome (Gaye) of Richton, Cleo Breland of McLain, Ann Clark (Charles) of Grand Bay, AL, Laura Milam (Lee) of Richton and Vivian Odom (Willie) of Richton. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
