It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Katherine Valentine of Richton, Mississippi, who passed away on October 13, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Lloyd Dennis Valentine; her children, Joseph "Joe" Valentine and Sandra Gregory; her parents, Roosevelt Walley and Rena Bell Walley; and her siblings, James, Coleman, Edgar, Charles, William "Sambo", Robert Walley, Frances Conway and Ruby Baird.
She is survived by: her children, Pattie Mozingo (Denton) of Richton, Shannan Smith of Richton and Joel Smith of Houston, TX; her grandchildren, Tasha Cooley (Aaron), Heather Smith (Daniel), Chase Valentine (Rachel) and Makayla Mozingo (Caleb Holifield); her great grandchildren, Faith Cooley, Annie Hinton, Kyland Cooley (Lacie), Aidyn Cooley, Gunner Smith, Hayden Smith, Tate Smith, Grayson Smith, Colt Valentine, Jax Valentine, Molly Valentine, Gatlin Valentine, Jameson Holifield and Whitley Holifield; her great great grandchild Dallas Cooley; and her sister Joan Rosen of Tomball, TX. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the Richton First Assembly of God (91514 MS-42, Richton, MS 39476). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
