He was predeceased by: his son Curtis Hartfield; his parents, J. C. Smallen and Estelle Smallen; and his parents-in-law, Joe Price and Loraine McMillan.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Hartfield of Richton; his daughter Stephanie Nicole Franco (Terry) of Richton; his adoptive daughter Cindy Finnell of Richton; his grandchildren, Michael Farmer (Whitney) of Lexington, IN, Caleb Farmer (Karma) of Leakesville, Lindsey Lentz (Josh) of Knoxville, TN and Randy Franco (Jana) of Biloxi; and his great grandchildren, Bella, Callie, Aleeyah, Addison, Aiden, Dathan, Dailey, Kaidence, Travis, Hattie and Brody.
