She is survived by: her children, Hugh Thoms (Suzanne) of Richton and Wendy Edwards (Marvin Jr.) of Richton; her son-in-law Carl Pearce of Richton; her stepson Dan Bennett (Tanya) of Sumrall; her grandchildren, Chantse Edwards (Rashae), Morgan Mills (Jeremy), Taylor Crapanzano (Joseph), Kane Edwards (Shana), Parker Thoms (Erin), Lacey Roberts (Andrew), Maggie Pearce, Erica Smith (Trent) and Zach Bennett (Taylor); her great grandchildren, Caroline, Avery, Mary Maesyn, Kyler, Anderson, Stoney, Emberlee, Ryker, Jamison, Kenze and Aubrey; her nieces, Debbie Russell and Ashley Quinn; and her nephew Nathan Mercer.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Richton (400 Elm Ave, Richton, MS 39476). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Richton Starts (400 Elm Ave, Richton, MS 39476).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Virginia's memory to Baptist Children's Village or Gideons International.
