It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Annette Gong Joe of Ridgeland, Mississippi, born in Merigold, Mississippi, who passed away on November 23, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Chiles Sit Gong and K. W. Gong, Sr.; and her siblings, Arnold Gong, Stephen Gong, Marion Gong Lee and Juanita Gong Dong.

She is survived by: her husband Edward Y. Joe, Sr.; her children, Edward Y. Joe, Jr. (Ginger) of Madison, MS, Lynette Joe Barber (David) of Lawrenceville, GA and Michael W. Joe (Lylla) of Madison, MS.; her grandchildren, Edward Y. Joe, III (Kaylee), Connor, Hallee, Stephen Joe, Peyton Joe, Joseph Barber (Kelsey), Jonathan Barber (Madison), Jessica Moore (Jacob), Kennedy Joe and Chambers Joe; and her siblings, K. W. Gong, Jr. of Chatsworth, GA, Patricia Gong of Knoxville, TN and Gwendolyn Gong (John Powers) of Arlington, VA. She is also survived by many brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
