He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvil Redden and Cleo Redden; his sister Bonnie; his brother-in-law Eddie Monarch; and his son-in-law Jim Warren.

He is survived by: his son Gene (Tina); his wife Dorothy; his daughter Malinda; his granddaughter Caroline Walden (Arthur); his stepgrandsons, Luke Warren, Jake Warren (Jean), Matt Warren (Melissa) and John Mychal Warren; his great grandchildren, Ridgway, Wright (Spiderman), Harriet and Everett; and his sisters, Arvella Stephenson (Larry) and Renee Martin (John). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
