She was predeceased by: her parents, Thurman Whitehead and Marie Whitehead; her husband Charles Shack; and her siblings, Garrett Whitehead, Sarah Burkett, Mary Alice McFarland, Jake Whitehead and Dorothy Jean Woodruff.

She is survived by: her daughters, Norma Adcock (Henry Stephenson) and Janie Brown (Charlie); her granddaughters, Brandi Ryker (Jay), Nikki Buffington, Sarah Cockrell Chris (Chase) and Patti Brown; and her great grandchildren, Olivia Ryker, Landry Ryker, Caleb Brown, Kinsley Heitman, Sydney Cockrell, Cody Cockrell and Viktoria Brown. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gallant Hearts Guide Dog Center in Madison, Mississippi.
