She was predeceased by: her parents, Glennie Herring and Floyd Herring; and her siblings, Ralph Herring, Roland Herring, Benton Herring, Martin Herring, Herman Herring, Imogene White and Jewel Clegg.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Story Gowan (Tim), Sabrina Story Thigpen (Jeff) and Dr. Daniel Bobby Story II (Holly). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
