With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe Edward Broadaway of Ridgeland, Mississippi, born in Jackson, Mississippi, who passed away on December 21, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Madison Broadaway and Evie Austin Broadaway; his wife Laura Demars Broadaway; his siblings, Geraldine Broadaway Weeks and Sam Jessie Broadaway; and his grandson Ryan Patrick Munoz of Raleigh.
He is survived by: his brother Charlie Mac Broadaway (Carol) of Southlake, Texas; his children, David Edward Broadaway (Cynthia), Keith Wood Broadaway (Sherri) of Brandon, Mississippi, Lisa Broadaway Clarke of Brandon and Jill Maxwell of Ridgeland; his grandchildren, Austin Edward Broadaway (Nicole) of Mendenhall, Kristi Klein, Rachel Whitehead (Jimmy) of Ridgeland and William Joseph Brantley of Richland; and his great grandchildren, Alex Brantley, Carson McCord, Hadley Broadaway, Avery Munoz, Carter Broadaway, Liam Munoz, Elianna Broadaway, Tre Whitehead, Emma Whitehead, Jordan Whitehead, Anna Whitehead, Stella Klein, Edward Klein and Coleman Klein. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Mississippi.
