With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Paul Sockwell (Ridgeland, Mississippi), born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on June 19, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Stockwell and Louise Stockwell. He is survived by: his wife Merry Ellen; his children, Stacey Irwin (Case), Jay Stockwell (Cara), Fran Meacham (David) and Doyle Walton; his grandchildren, Hunter, Harrison, Hayes Adcock, Rachael Meacham and Alex Meacham; his sisters, Margaret McGuire (Mickey) and Anne Snell-McDonald (Jesse); his nephews, Rob Snell (Melanie) and Steve Snell (Kathy); and his niece Allison Gillespie (Jamie).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the United Methodist Church in Edwards MS or Community Animal Rescue and Adoption (CARA) in Jackson, MS.
