He was predeceased by: his parents, Melton Steed and Icie Moorhead Steed; his former wife Judy Halford; his wife Kay Heath Steed; and his siblings, Mavis and Dorris Steed of Yuma.
He is survived by: his brothers, Ray of Starkville and Ken (Jackie) of Ridgeland; and his stepchildren, Heather Deanne Griffin (Scott) of Grenada and George B. Ghinga'Heath (Cassie) of Union, Mississippi..
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Parkway Funeral Home (1161 Highland Colony Pkwy, Ridgeland, MS 39157). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be sent to First Baptist Madison.
