He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin F. Strum and Beryl McDole Strum. He is survived by: his wife Katherine Renfroe Strum; his daughter Jennifer Bunger (David) of Flowood; his stepchildren, Dana King of Ridgeland and Karen Hughes of Brandon; his grandchildren, Helen Bunger of Flowood and Nathaniel Bunger of Tupelo; and his sisters, Paula Evans (James) of Little Rock and Sheila Boyd (Thomas) of Anchorage, Alaska..
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (431 N State St, Jackson, MS 39201). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Berean Sunday School Class at First Baptist CHurch of Jackson or Webster Animal Shelter in Madison, MS.
