He was predeceased by: his parents, Solomon Waxman and Kathleen Guffey Waxman; and his sister Julie Waxman. He is survived by: his wife Dell Waxman; his stepchildren, Chalen Jones Chibe (Paul Chibe) and Chip Tubbs; and his granddaughters, Sloane Yeager Tubbs and Harley Tubbs.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a veterans' support organization or the Jennifer Sterling Brown Animal Rescue League.
