He was predeceased by: his wife Joy Bonds Massey; his parents, J. W. Massey (Bill) and Gladys Massey; his sister Ruby Wilemon; and his son-in-law Ronnie Potts.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mitzi Potts of Holtspur and Christi Counce of Biggersille; his brother Tommy Massey (Brenda) of Booneville; his grandchildren, Alexandria Counce of Biggersille, Kayson Hill and Chaley Brewer; and his nieces and nephews, Kellie Shadburn (Roger), Angileah Chase (Daniel), Billy Wilemon, Ricky Wilemon (Brenda) and Brandon Massey (Ashley). He is also survived by other great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 25th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Tuscumbia Baptist Church Cemetery.
