She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Ernest and Mary Etta Smith Marshall; her husband Cecil Murphy; her children, Frankie Murphy and Christine Murphy Ritter; her son-in-law Doyle Bullock; and her siblings, William Marshall, Terry Marshall, Leland Marshall, Edward Marshall, Marie Montgomery, Mary Crawford, Sally Hogue, Ruth Swanger and Elizabeth Marshall.

She is survived by: her children, James Allen Murphy (Martha) of Ripley, Betty Jo Murphy Bullock of Greenfield and Patricia Murphy McBryde (Billy) of Ripley; her children-in-law, Becky Murphy of Iuka and Jimmy Ritter of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; and her grandchildren, Lorrie Murphy Riley (Wade), Allen Murphy (Kerri), Darrell Bullock, Genell Bullock Gutlett (David), Michelle Bullock Miller, Eddie Murphy (Starla), Joy Murphy Holder (Jeff), Missy Murphy Lynn (Chuck), Brodie Murphy, Amy Murphy Hatfield (Kevin), Debbie Ritter, Bryan Ritter, Rita McBryde Smith (David) and Laura McBryde Green (Shane). She is also survived by twenty-seven great-grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren.
