She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Lou Staten Self and Homer Whitten Self; and her siblings, Norval Eugene Self and Eva Eudora Hill. She is survived by: her son David Whitten Bennett (Christyann Tippens Bennett); and her grandchildren, Elizabeth Whitten Bennett and Christian David Bennett.
