He is survived by: his children, Renee Peterson (Melvin) of Ashland, Mississippi, Joe Colyer (April), Zack Colyer and Andre Williams; his grandchildren, Jacelyn Colyer, Joe Colyer Jr. (Takeya), Zayvon Knox, Latrell Peterson and Damion Peterson; his great grandchildren, Gabrielle Colyer, Jaheim Colyer, Naomi Colyer and Khalil Colyer; his siblings, Lettie Reed, Eudora Morgan, Reverend Arlanders Colyer (Jimmie) and Phillip Colyer (Belinda); his caregiver Betty Patterson; and his nieces and nephews, Carl Richardson, Tony Royal, Reed, Dennis Royal Reed, Nicole Colyer, Antionette Banks and Patricia Colyer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
