She was predeceased by: her parents, Dave King and Dessie Brock King; and her siblings, Alvertie Walker, Valeria Turner, Velma Barkley, Willie T. King, J. D. King and Charlie King.
She is survived by: her children, Rena Haynes (Charlie) of Blue Mountain, MS., Donna Hungate (Mel) of Byhalia, MS, William Carpenter (Carol) of Myrtle, MS, Jimmy Carpenter and Bobby Carpenter (Charlyn) of Dumas, MS.; her close friend Frieda Jordon; and her husband Bro. Floyd Carpenter. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
