He was predeceased by: his parents, William Powell and Rivers Lodge Powell; his stepdaughter Vicki Hedrick; and his grandson Braydon Bingham. He is survived by: his wife Frances Colson Powell; his daughters, Paulla Boone (Russell) and Allecia Powell; his stepsons, Marty Bingham and John Bingham; his close friend Ernie Quiles (Norma); and his grandchildren, Erica Holbrook, Olivia Bingham, Aaron Bingham, Christian Bingham, Emma Bingham and Alexandria Guidangen. He is also survived by his family, and faithfulness to his friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the TBD Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home (1011 City Ave N, Ripley, MS 38663). The military honors will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Services Honoring the Life of Mr. A burial will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at the Tippah Memorial Gardens (186 Dumas Rd, Ripley, MS 38663).
