It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Martin Hopper of Ripley, Mississippi, who passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter M. Hopper, Sr. and Sara Louise Hopper; and his wife Annie Louise Brooks Hopper. He is survived by : his children, David M. Hopper of Ripley, MS, Teresa Anne Hopper of Ripley, MS, Christina L. Elder (Michael) of Ripley, MS and Denise Richardson (Keith) of Maben, MS; and his grandchildren, Alleigh Clemmer of Ripley, MS, Emma Elder of Ripley, MS, Delta Koon of Ramer, TN, Jimmy Jarvis of Falkner, MS and Jordan Thomas of Myrtle, MS. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McBride Funeral Home, Inc. (206 N Commerce St, Ripley, MS 38663). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
