He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Carolyn Smith; his parents, Emmitt Hollis and Hazel Hollis (Cooper); his siblings, David Hollis and Emma Jane Crowell; his sister-in-law Freddie Barker; and his nephews, Paul Brock, Randy Luna and Eddie Watson.
He is survived by: his daughter Alisa (Carlos Gil) of Memphis, TN; his grandchildren, Hayley (John Carroll) of Memphis, TN and Chase Gil (Jordan) of Naples, FL; his great grandchildren, CeCe Gil, Porter Gil, Rowan Isaac, Jones Carroll, Abigail Carroll, Charis Carroll and Carroll; his brother John "Roy" Hollis (Faye) of Corinth, MS.; his siblings-in-law, Brenda (Dur Chamberlin) of Hernando, MS. and Randy Smith (Martha) of Ripley, MS.; and his girlfriend Sue Parish.
