He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Elrod (Scott) of Sutherland, Iowa, Anne Johnsen of Southaven, Mississippi, Whitney Johnsen (Steve Schraibman) of East Hampton and Victoria Schneider (Michael) of Mesa, Arizona; his siblings, Barb Brandt (Willis), Bonnie Dengler (Dale), Rex Johnsen (Margaret), Ted Johnsen (Barbara) and Randy Johnsen (Mary); his grandchildren, Shelby Vazquez, Jenna Gilchrist, Midori Schneider, Victor Johnsen, Logan Johnsen and Alex Schraibman; and his great grandchildren, Lucca, Cecilia Vasquez and Athena Gilchrist.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Gibson-Bode Funeral Home (202 N Main St, Port Byron, IL 61275). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Rock Island National Cemetery (118 Rodman Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201).
Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or Church of the Cross.
