It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laurance Carter (Rolling Fork, Mississippi), who passed away on March 13, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Yolande Carter and Wallace Carter; his wife Joyce Gibson; his brother Wallace; his children, Gip Carter of Rolling Fork and Sue Carter Wood (Rob) of Findlay; his granddaughter Laura Simmons of Columbus; his brother Jimmie Dick Carter; and his siblings-in-law, Leta Carter of Rolling Fork, Jo Anderson of Anguilla and Dee Ready of Richton.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Rolling Fork (205 S. 2nd St., Rolling Fork, Mississippi 39159) or the Sharkey Issaquena Medical Foundation (47 S. 4th St., Rolling Fork, Mississippi 39159).
