We are sad to announce that on September 19, 2025, at the age of 71, James Randall Dykes of Ruth, Mississippi, born in Laurel, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Kala Ishee; his parents, Carlos Dykes and Marie Jefcoat Dykes; his sister Brenda English; his great grandchild Addison Weekley; and his son-in-law Leo Waites.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Walters Dykes; his children, Buddy West, Randy Dykes, Tanya Dykes, Nancy Waites and Amanda Weekley; his son-in-law Tony; his brother Harry Dykes (Janice); and his brother-in-law Craig English. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel Tuesday (4593 Indian Springs Rd, Laurel, MS 39443). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Myrick Cemetery.
